Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water... When Jaws first came to theaters in the summer of 1975, no one could have foreseen the massive impact it had on movies, as well as the entire concept of the Hollywood blockbuster. As the first official summer blockbuster introduced to mass audiences, Jaws holds a high level of significance for both movie buffs and audiences everywhere. As such, what better way to pay tribute to this amazing film than to experience it the way it was always meant to be? That is to say, on the WATER. Alamo Drafthouse has partnered with High Beam Events to feature Jaws directly on the water at Volente Beach on Lake Travis. The film will be shown on a huge inflatable outdoor screen placed at the water’s edge with viewers getting the chance to watch the movie while floating in inner tubes, allowing for a swimmingly spooky atmosphere to add to the overall experience.
