Austin Drives Me Batty!

Austin is absolutely wild...literally!

One of the more exciting things to do around the city is to take a gander at some of its most iconic imagery and wildlife. And I’m not talking about its downtown area! One thing that Austin has above all other cities in Texas is its absolutely stunning display of public bat watching.

Yes, you heard me...BATS. These squeaky little critters might seem a bit spooky up close, but there’s something eerily breathtaking about seeing a bunch of them flying around from a distance. And Austin fits that description swimmingly, to the point where Austin residents now have the opportunity to see it for themselves during the perfect hours of the evening!

Capital Cruises has, for many years now, advertised its internationally-famous bat watching tour. Tours depart 30 minutes before sunset and allows for guests to experience the heart-pounding magic of watching these fascinating creatures lift-off together in the night sky--a real eye-opening experience if you’re a lover of nature just like I am. Baby bats are typically born in June and can be the most visible during July--only a month away from now! In a nutshell, now’s the perfect time to take a tour to see them in action as they swoop and soar through the twilight sky.

Austin is home to some of the quirkiest, most entertaining things to do, whether you’re alone or with family and friends. Some of my favorite residences that I’ve lived in include the amazing, pet-friendly Falls on Bull Creek, Northstar, The Reserve, Treehouse, and Woodstone Apartments. You’ll never find places with friendlier, accommodating services. I know I certainly haven’t anywhere else.

The Austin bat tour really is worth every penny, especially since now’s the time to stop by for a visit! Part of living in Austin is taking in the full sights and scope of the full Austin experience, bats included! If you’re interested in this amazing opportunity, you can check out this handy link to get your tickets now. Bring your kids and friends! Just remember to show up on time and keep alert! When it comes to experiencing the full beauty of nature, it’s worth every penny!
