Spring Cleaning in Your New Apartment!

2022 has arrived and you know what that means! 

That’s right! It’s time to start thinking about getting ready to start your spring-cleaning adventure! I say that in the most sarcastic terms because truthfully, it can be a lot to take in at once. But never fear because there’s no shame in getting an early start, especially when it means making your apartment the very best it can be!  

Let’s begin with a brief rundown of just what spring cleaning is and what it adds to the table! Spring cleaning is all about maximizing space, clearing out the things you don’t need, and making sure your place is spick and span! You can get rid of any big pieces of junk that might be in your way. You can also take the time to wipe down any surfaces that might require a good scrubbing!  


First, make sure you have a checklist of areas to cover around your apartment. This can include areas that need cleaning or areas that you feel need to be taken care of. This can include: dusting, vacuuming, checking batteries, disinfecting areas, clearing out clutter, wipe downs, organizing, washing various fabrics, and more! Make a checklist beforehand of all the different areas around your apartment to cover, whether it’s the kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc.  


When doing your spring cleaning, it’s important to make out a balanced schedule so that you can properly assess how much needs to get done and how long the process will take in between. Certain tasks can be a bit on the time-consuming side so don’t forget to make sure all your areas are covered! Additionally, make sure not to do any tasks that could be extremely physically straining or potentially dangerous. The last thing you want is to hurt yourself! If there’s some form of cleaning that you feel is beyond your physical limits, check with close friends or relatives to see if they might perform the task better! Or you might even consider hiring some independent cleaners to speed up the process! Talk with your leasing staff to find suitable options to make the most of your living space. 


Spring cleaning is important because it marks a fresh change of pace following the new year, as well as a way for you to find extra comfort in your home! Take the time to plan out your spring cleaning process and set yourself for ultimate coziness at your fabulous apartment!
